As the hospitality world, and the rest of us start to carefully unfurl from our initial Covid lockdown, we are thrilled to be able to welcome chefs and their teams and brigades to the farm, to enjoy a tour, a much needed break and our own special hospitality provided by farmers Matt and Pip and the team.
The wonderful Monica Galetti, her talented husband David and their lovely daughter, plus their head chef at Mere, London; the lovely Alberto and Chef de Partie Eleanor joined us for a whole weekend, staying in the family holiday cottages and taking part in a sunny farm tour, moving the deer and sheep shearing, all in the Cornish summer sun.
Our own Chef Ambassador Alan Bird cooked up a venison storm in the shearing sheds for a taste of home from home for New Zealand raised Monica, and the sun arrived for us to bid them farewell loaded up with Cornish goodies and of course, plenty of beautiful venison.
Thank you to Ed, Nick and the team at Sharp’s Brewery, for the perfect Cornish accompaniment to our weekend as usual and fabulous goodies for our guests to take home.
